The beds are an awesome addition to my kids room. I was a little nervous about buying beds on Amazon without being able to see them up close and personal in a store but I am very happy with this purchase. The beds are made from real wood not that pressed board garbage. They are very sturdy and the design leaves my kids plenty of extra room for their other furniture and toys. Once you lay out all of the pieces and get yourself organized they are fairly simple to assemble, however, a second person is needed for certain parts of the assembly. Another point to note is that during shipment one of the pieces for the headboard was damaged and it literally only took a few minutes to get in contact with support to have another part shipped to us. I assembled the bed with the broken part for now since it was not damaged in any way that would pose any safety risk, it just looks bad having a crack. Once the part arrives it will only take a few minutes to loosen a few screws and replace the broken part. All-in-all these beds are impressive and worth the price I paid at the time of purchase. Another side note, the beds are very large and extremely high unlike other bunk beds. Make sure to look at the height and make sure the room your putting them in has high enough ceilings to accommodate this bed in order to prevent a few bumps on the noggin.

Ok, so thoughts once assembled is that the bed is sturdy and looks good. If you assemble this bed using the included hex key it's going to take you a while. I found one I could fit I'm my cordless drill and it cut the time in half. There are a LOT of pieces so it works best to sort them before starting so you know where everything is. I wouldnt want to attempt this by myself as it helps to have someone hold the long sections up while the other person installs the hardware. The wood had some good sized dents and one very noticable corner gouge upon arrival. Overall I'm impressed with the quality if this bed for the price. My 10 year old is extremely excited about it.Pro's:-Sturdy-Good looking wood-Quality hardware-Perfect for 8' ceilings-easy to follow instructions-quick shippingCons:-Wood had scratches and dents upon arrival-Stickers all over everything and they are a PITA to get off the wood-Box was pretty well beat up and could have been packaged better

Pretty Awesome! Not a “beginner assembly” type product but with some extra help it wasn’t too bad! It is VERY sturdy. Took some advice and used some thread lock for extra protection. My daughter is 7 and weighs 50-55 pounds. I am well over the weight limit at almost 200 pounds but when I need to get on the ladder at night it supports me well! I paid 250 dollars for this massive bed frame so I expected some flaws. Some minor issues, one of the screws would not go in properly. A piece of the headboard split but not affecting the mechanics of the bed. Fixed with wood glue. The bed has been put up for 3 days now and the new/chemically smell is still lingering. I recommend buying some anti-slip tape for the ladder! Otherwise, this bed is awesome and she has soooo much more room in her bedroom!

Spend the extra money on a better bed. We bought 2 of these, so I believe my review to be not a random experience.1. Structural - a) this bed is extremely wobbly. I think a bed with the cross X supports at the vertical posts would be far better structurally than this bed is without them. b) the slats on which the mattress lies are too few. It leaves great gaps that are uncomfortable for my children. I have had to purchase extra wood to insert in between the given slats for more support. c) the ladder is extremely slippery. I had to purchase adhesive grip tape to apply to the steps to make them safe.2. Color - I admit that I took a chance buying this based on the fact that the product description for the color was "various colors". Since I have bought all the other furniture online in Cherry, and this product's picture looked exactly like the others', I hoped this would be Cherry wood. It is NOT. It very clearly states on the box WALNUT. I'm disappointed that this could not be included in the product description.3. Seller - We do not care to support Walmart. We bought this bed online to avoid having to support a store like Walmart. I contacted the seller several times to ask various questions and never received a reply. When this bed arrived the package clearly stated "Walmart". So, it looks like this seller bought the bed from Walmart, marked up the price by SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS, then resold it to me. This was the most disappointing of the many disappointing things about this product.The lesson learned for me was that spending a little more on a better product is far better in the long run.

The bed frame arrived somewhat damaged because of shipping. The box seemed fairly well packaged, but some pieces are a little flimsy.*After assembly, you can't see the splits very easilyThe bed went together easily. It can definitely be done alone, but a second set of hands would be useful for the top railing assembly.Bed is NOT sturdy. Any reviews claiming this bed is really solid is false. It is sturdy enough for a child to simply lie down and stay still (of course children don't just do that). I'll need to anchor the frame to the wall and suggest you plan to do the same if you purchase this loft bed.3 stars because you get what you pay for and this wasn't a $600 loft frame.

One of the pieces was a bit cracked so I contacted customer service and they responded fast, piece was shipped and I got it within days. I bought it a year ago I wanted to make sure it was good quality before leaving my review, considering the mixed reviews, but for the price I gave it a chance and still in very good condition a year later. Not real wood but sturdy materials have in mind I bought it for my 8 year old. I think if you are looking for an affordable loft bed for your kid this is a pretty good option.
